Why does this matter for 2028 entry?
For 2028 entry, GPA becomes a pass/fail threshold of 6.0, and ranking after that is decided by the MMI (50%) and Casper (50%).
What formats are available?
- Solo (1:1): one-on-one sessions built around the individual student's strengths and gaps.
- Small Group (3 to 4 students): the same tutor and curriculum depth delivered to a small cohort. Each student receives individual feedback every session.
Both formats cover the full 30-week curriculum. A format is recommended during the consultation.
What is included?
- Weekly sessions across the full 30-week programme
- A yearly ICanMed community subscription
- An MMI Workshop Intensive: two full mock interviews plus one interactive full-day workshop
- Direct access to a tutor who has been through the process and previously fully booked out
Tutors are current University of Auckland medical students, with a median tutor MMI score of 187.
How much does it cost?
ICanMed NZ does not publish rates for this programme. Pricing is discussed in a free 30-minute consultation, where we recommend Solo or Small Group only if the programme is the right fit.
What if my child wants to stop partway through?
Talk to us first. Sometimes a dip in motivation signals a format mismatch, and a switch between Solo and Small Group can help. If stopping is still the right call, we handle it fairly and without pressure.
